Woman Victim Of Newton Hit-And-Run; Police Looking For Vehicle: Report

Authorities are looking for a vehicle involved in a Newton hit-and-run that sent one woman to the hospital, reports said.

Police got a call about a woman who was hit by a car in the area of Commonwealth Avenue and Prince Street around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, Boston25 and NBC10 Boston report.

The woman was walking on Commonwealth Ave Carriage Lane when she was hit, both outlets said citing Newton Police. 

A passerby stopped to help the woman when they saw her in the street. She is expected to recover, both outlets report. 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Newton Police at 617-796-2106. In addition, anyone with video of the incident is asked to sent it to police.
